Round one

In the red corner we have Princess Jasmine, fearless feline.  In the blue corner we have Simba, King of the jungle.  Ding ding.  Simba goes in with an under hook and attaches himself on Jasmine's collar.

Jasmine dances round and wriggles free from Simba's tight grip.

Now we go into "stare off".  Jasmine locks beady eyes onto Simba with great intent.  Simba stares back and switches on laser mode.
Yep, Simba is most definitely back to his normal self :)

Simba on a Sunday

Hi effurryone, I want to thank you all for thinking of me this week and sending me purrs.  It really helped me get better quickly.  I was so embarressed  when I was sick on Kyrrie's bed, especially as it was first thing on a Monday morning when effurryone was getting ready for work.  I am back to my normal self now, eating and playing as usual.  I'm just waiting for the rain to stop, then i'm off out for a bit of fresh air prrrrrrr

Sunshine

It's sunny today, but it might rain again.  I never did see any quacky ducks.  Maybe they will waddle past now the sun is out?

I am very very thankful for that :)

Lovely weather for the quacky ducks

Ever since they announced that we were in drought, its has done nothing but rain!  Mummy said "oh well, it's lovely weather for the ducks".  I've been here for hours and I haven't seen one quacky duck go by!
Simba is continuing to recover slowly, but still doesn't want to play yet.

Lickitty spit

Simba seems a bit better today, but he isn't his normal self.  I thought i'd give him a bath to help make him feel better.

Looking out on the world

It's a nice sunny day, but i'm still not keen on going out at the moment.  Look who I can see out there :)

I can also see Dory and Crush, they are having a cuddle together.
Simba isn't feeling very well this morning.  He did big icky sicky poo all over Kyrrie's bed bleughh.

Simba on a Sunday

Looks like i'm testing out the new style Blogger for Jasmine!  It's got some things that are like Facebook.  Jasmine hasn't got FB, but I have so I can help her out a little bit.
I'm sitting with mummy watching the start of the London Marathon.  The Elite ladies have just started.  Our hooman sister Kyrrie applied, but didn't get a place.  Otherwise all the hoomans would have been going round different parts of the route cheering her on.
Gosh, all these hoomans running is making me a little bit sleepy zzzzzzzzzzzzz

Rainy days

It's going to rain today, so we are staying in doors in the dry.  We have a drought at the moment so mummy says we mustn't moan.    We are bug watching from here.  That one we caught yesterday was very yummy.  We can also see Dory and Crush from here just round on the right.

I found a bug

Look Simba, I caught this bug.  It's got 6 legs, 4 eyes and a huge body.  Do you think we should let it go or eat it?

Simba on a Saturday

What do you mean i'm a rubbish cat, Jasmine??  I said jump on the bin peddle after 3 and then I would jump "in" the bin when the lid flips up and rescue that chicken!  You jumped on 2!  It can't be that hard. I've heard mummy talk about Tinkerbell and Figgy who did it all the time.  Ok, 5 minute break and then we will try again.

Thursday, 12 April 2012

We apologise for not being around for a few days.  Mummy has been off work since Good Friday and doesn't go back to work until next Monday.  Plenty of time to help me blog, but oh no, she has been going out!  The cheek of it.    Luckily we have had plenty of sun puddles to snooze in.

Mummy went to the sea side with her brother and then they wen't back to his house for dinner in the evening.  This is my cousin Oscar who is like a bazillion years old.  For a very big cat he has always been very timid, but has got a lot more relaxed nowadays.

My hooman sister made some lovely butterfly cupcakes for Easter.

A big chocolate cake with chocolate Easter eggs on top yum yum.

And, some pretty butterfly biscuits slurpl.

Garden inspection

We are checking out the camelia in the back garden.  We like to hide behind here, but we can smell that somebody else has been here too!  We can smell kitty and foxy!

Mummy loves the colour of these flowers, she says they look like they are made from tissue paper.  Maybe I could blow my nose on one hee he

Simba on a Sunday and mummy's Olympic Park run

I'm sitting next to a new gooseberry bush.  Mummy asked me to sit here so she can see how much it grows, paws crossed.  It's a bit strange really, cause mummy doesn't even like gooseberries!

On to the exciting news.  This is mummy getting ready to run.  She is wearing number 2007.  It must be very hard for hoomans, cause you only have two legs.  In mummy's case, two short little legs hee he.  I think mummy should be warming up her leggy pegs not her jaw though, chatting away to ladies she met whilst they waited!

The route took them all around the Olympic Park, but the best bit was the last 400 metres on the track.  Music played and people cheered.  She said it was very exciting and she found some extra energy to speed up towards the finish line.

Once across the finish line everyone was given a goody bag which contained their medals. If you look carefully, you can still see people running round the track towards the finish.

Here's a close up of mummy's medal :)
